Brixmor Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Brixmor Property Group Inc. is a publicly traded real estate investment trust that invests in shopping centers. It is organized in Maryland with its headquarters in New York City. Its CEO and CFO were the subject of an accounting scandal in 2016 and resigned.
Account Executive (Former Employee) says"Stay far away. Poor management and there is no culture or opportunity for growth personally and professionally. Brixmor is a corporate machine that grinds up its employees until there is nothing left."
Property Accountant (Former Employee) says"This company neither invests in their employees nor do they care about them. Turnover is really high, and morale is even worst. They do provide you with coffee and water. When a world catastrophe happens, they have a charity collectionEverything else"
Vice President (Former Employee) says"Management wants you to drink the kool aid. Created a cult like culture. People let go often there. New management doesn't know how to lead by example.Good benefitsPoor culture"
Analyst (Current Employee) says"They fire people all the time. There is no job security. Other than that, they are a solid firm. In short, you will learn, but fear for your job everyday."
Senior Leasing Representative (Former Employee) says"The leadership of this company has no ethics or morals. They only look out for the shareholders and don't care how poorly they treat their employees or tenants. It's a very toxic work environment! If you don't drink the orange kool-aid they will get rid of you without paying you hard earned commissions. No job security here!"
Tax Associate (Former Employee) says"This place is awful. If it isn't the "wolf pack" randomly hiring friends and family in management positions, somehow they're the only ones who get raises annually."
collections (Former Employee) says"Brixmor provides great benefits and a lot of paid time off. The downsides are and I can only speak from the department I was in, but I believe from speaking with co-workers it was the entire company, that you are monitored every moment of every day. It's like highschool. You can't talk to co-workers, speak in anything but a whisper, and will even get in trouble if you leave your desk too often. The turn-over of employees is high. There is so much gossip and management fuels a lot of it. Any mistake is blown out of proportion and everything is made into a huge ordeal. People openly had nervous breakdowns and crying fits. I saw so many people cry on almost a daily basis. It was disturbing. The decent pay and excellent benefits are not worth the crazy drama and stress.benefitstreated like a child"
Administrative Assistant, Property Management (Former Employee) says"The work load for the Administrative Assistants at Brixmor is very high with very little support from management. Co-workers were great as all were in the same situation and understood how hard it was to get the job done. The company benefits were excellent and there was an added perk of having summer hours on Fridays, which meant leaving work early every Friday between Memorial Day and Labor Day.Summer Friday hours and great benefitsNo flexibility in working hours"
Accounts Receivable Specialist (Former Employee) says"Good company but no chance of advancement & they are not hiring.Good CompanyPoor Lead Manager"
Facility Manager (Former Employee) says"They can not be trusted. Property Director did not follow company policy and when I brought it to attention on other management, I was let go from my position."
Paralegal (Current Employee) says"Great colleagues. Manager was nice as in any office environment there were favorites. I loved coming to work everyday, very rarely did I ever feel overwhelmed."
accounting (Former Employee) says"depts. outsourced to make $ - fewer people to do more work constantly monitored, 7.5 hour workday, it was a more enjoyable place before entity was sold 2 yrs agolot of vacation days offered"
ADMININISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Former Employee) says"I was really excited about being part of a commercial real estate company. I learned so much working here. I think the only downfall with the company is that everything is chaos. Nothing is organized and as much as I tried finding ways to keep things organized the Houston office was just not of any help. A lot of the employees were stuck in old traditional ways and not open to learn new and easier ways of doing things. The managers were not really organized either and relied on the administrative staff to handle everything and sometimes even their tasks. I was grateful for the opportunity but don't really recommend working here. Unless the weekends off is a must and you are okay with disorganization."
Supervisor Office Services (Former Employee) says"Busy corporate environment. I learned how to negotiate contracts with major vendors such as staples, canon, pitney Bowes etc. holiday parties, employee cafe with lowcost vending machines"
